Well, look no further!
This week I visited what I think is the most romantic restaurant in Cambridge and tried their special Valentine’s menu.

Six, at the Varsity Hotel, Cambridge is romantic at best, with panoramic city views and a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view with a glass of champagne – it’s the fanciest night out that you can have in Cambridge.
For Valentine’s Day, they stepped up the romance even further.
The restaurant has put together a special Valentine’s Day menu with exclusive Valentine’s Day cocktails.
They offer a three course set menu for £64.50 pp, with a glass of fizz included in the price.
The two special edition Valentine’s Day cocktails were amazing, and I highly recommend adding them to your meal for a little something extra.
The first one I tried was the Soulmate martini. Very aptly named – never mind a boyfriend, I think this cocktail could, in fact, be my soul mate.
It was absolutely amazing and perfect for you if you love blueberries and have a sweet tooth.
The other cocktail was the strawberry shortcake daiquiri.
Now it was like a dream come true for me, I love strawberry daiquiri but this one was just something else.
It’s incredibly refreshing and as soon as you take a sip you feel transported to a sunny beach.
I ordered a vegetarian starter, which was the Burrata. This consisted of tomato caponata, wild arugula and grilled toast.
It was really delicious but quite simple and nothing too special.
However, the presentation was impeccable and faultless.
The main course
Then came the main course.
I ordered the wood roasted salmon which was by far the best salmon I have ever eaten in my life.
It was fresh and perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and soft and buttery in the middle.
It was served with fire roasted peppers and giant couscous which was new to me and something I had never tried.
The main course was definitely the highlight of the meal.
Next, my favorite part of any dinner – dessert.
I was very excited to see that they had my favorite dish on the cheesecake menu!
It was a classic vanilla cheesecake served with a fruit compote, and I was not disappointed.
The fruit compote that was on top of the cheesecake gave it a rich, fruity taste.
All in all, I don’t think you could find a better place to spend Valentine’s Day, especially if you’re looking to impress your Valentine.
You can book it for Monday February 14 here, for £64.50.
