These are the 6 best food and drink events in Dallas this week

Kick off June with plenty of celebrations, including a Pride Month brunch, birthday happy hour, and two high tea parties. This week is also one of the oldest food and music festivals in North Texas. Tickets are going fast.

Thursday, June 2

Mad Hatter Gin & Tea Party
This is the last week for this trip Alice in Wonderland-inspired pop-up party, which made pit stops in New York, Los Angeles and London. Make reservations Thursday through Sunday to be whisked down the rabbit hole and be tempted by tea cocktails. Tickets start at $59, and the experience includes a welcome drink and three curious cocktails served in teacups, plus a Mad Hatter hat. Also expect a few theatrical characters. Reservations start at 6 p.m. and the event takes place at the Théâtre d’Ervay.

Tap Thursdays at the Perot Museum
Only adults can now visit the Perot Museum for happy hour every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests can enjoy live music, outdoor games, drinks and food trucks. That evening there will be bites and sips from Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe, Smokey Ray’s BBQ, Cuates Kitchen and Community Beer Co. Inside the museum, attendees can explore the exhibit halls, including the just-launched exhibition “Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall.” Admission is $25 or $5 for museum members.

The area’s original food and music festival is back, featuring Addison’s restaurants, national musical artists, food and wine tastings, and family-friendly activities. The headliners are Sean Paul and Stone Temple Pilots. The three-day event takes place at Addison Circle Park. Tickets start at $15 for general admission ($5 for children ages 6-12). There are a few Friday-only VIP packages left ($50) that include two drink tokens and two tasting vouchers.

Haywire One Year Anniversary Happy Hour
Uptown’s Southern-inspired bar and restaurant will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a cowboy country happy hour. The $10 ticket includes a drink upon arrival and entry to the event, which will include photo ops, live music and giveaways from local vendors. Cocktails will include Codigo tequila and Balcones whiskey. The party will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
