Lompoc Library offers a series of kitchens from the garden to the kitchen | Homes and lifestyle

The Lompoc Public Library is partnering with UC Cooperative Extension’s Cal Fresh Healthy Living to present a series of workshops with guests from the UC Santa Barbara County Master Gardener Program and the UC San Counties Master Food Preserver Program. Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara.

The four-part Garden to Kitchen Cooking Series will include a reading and cooking activity for children ages 8-12. Each program will accommodate 20 participants. Community members can register for one of four online programs at cityoflompoc.com/library.

Registration opens June 8. If a preferred program fills up, interested individuals can join the waitlist for another program. Registration will close when all four programs are complete.

• Alicia’s Fruity Drinks: You’re One in a Melon: 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at the Lompoc Public Library Galerie Grossman.

• Lola is planting a garden: flowers and bees please: 2 pm on Wednesday June 22 on the youth terrace of the Lompoc public library.

• Sylvia’s Spinach: Spinach leaves are never alone (they come in a bouquet): 2 pm on Wednesday, July 13 at the Lompoc Public Library Galerie Grossman.

• Zora’s Zucchini: Pickling is a jarring experience: 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 at the Lompoc Grossman Gallery Public Library.
