Welcome to the 63rd + 1er. The city’s newest cocktail bar and restaurant was presented in all its glory last night, Thursday, November 25, with a champagne reception at his home at Westgate House on Albert Street.
This stunning new addition to Harrogate’s nightlife and food scene has arrived just in time for the Christmas seasons and is only the third such location to open as part of a concept launched by TGI Fridays. UK.
The first 63rd + 1st opened in Cobham, Surrey, in May this year, while the opening of the second site took place in Glasgow in September.
Speaking to 63rd & 1st General Manager Eva Souza, the pride of this new Harrogate hotspot inspired by the New York street famous for its bars and restaurants, a place where the very first TGI Fridays bar opened in 1965, is evident amid the buzz and glitter and chatter.
Eva Souza said: “It is not only important to be stylish, we try to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for a good night out for everyone no matter what you are planning.
“But we have a unique identity and a beautiful club-style interior, creating an elegant meeting place for people.”
Harrogate’s 63rd and 1st are 314 square meters and can accommodate 101 people in a large restaurant, lounge and bar with 12 additional seats in its outdoor dining area.
The size and breadth of its beverage menu also matches its food, the artisan martinis balanced by Lower East Side white wine and the 63rd and 1st premium lager.
The new bar and restaurant is more than a case of ripping and sharing or dips and laptops – although it does a lot.
The menu takes inspiration from the street food scene in Manhattan and celebrates the personality and principles of quality eclectic cuisine, along with iconic cocktails and a legendary atmosphere.
Customers can savor everything from crayfish roll and crayfish in a toasted brioche-style roll to Robata Grill steaks or the signature 63rd & 1st’s burger.
