The IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award program, which includes fifty-six categories recognizing excellence in book writing and design, is considered one of the highest national honors for independent publishers. The awards are administered by the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), with the help of more than 160 book publishing professionals, including librarians, bookstore owners, reviewers, designers, managers advertising and publishers. There were over 1,600 entries this year, which were selected by a panel of finalists in each category – from among them a winner was chosen by the judging team.

The Hermes Creative Awards honor the messengers and creators of the information revolution. Armed with their imaginations and their computers, the Hermès winners bring their ideas to life via traditional and digital platforms. Each year, the judges of the competition evaluate the best advertising, marketing and communications publications, branding materials, websites, videos and programs in the creative industry.
