Celebrate World Cocktail Day with Aldi’s special drink designed to mark the occasion


Cocktail connoisseurs are ready to feast on budget retailer Aldi to celebrate a special milestone. It’s World Cocktail Day today (May 13) and the store has curated a selection of delicious new recipes to celebrate.

As the hot summer days approach, shoppers can create refreshing cocktails that include popular drink favorites plus brand new additions including the chain’s Infusionist Watermelon Lime Gin Liqueur (£10.99, 50cl ) and Infusionist Blossom gin liqueur (£10.99, 50cl).

Fan favorites Haysmith’s Mango & Passionfruit Gin (£14.99, 70cl), Saint Gérmont Raspberry Vodka (£14.99, 70cl) and Specially Selected Valdobbiadene Prosecco (£7.99, 75cl) are also making a return to help budding mixologists.

Aldi’s latest recipes start from just £1.26 per serving, there’s no need to compromise quality over price.

Cherry Blossom (£2.13 per serving)

It features delicate floral cherry blossom flavors that pair perfectly with fruity notes of apple, cranberry and lime.


  • 50ml Infusionist Cherry Blossom Gin Liqueur
  • 25ml cranberry juice
  • 25ml apple juice
  • 75 ml of specially selected Prosecco Valdobbiadene
  • Pressed fresh lime
  • Orange zest for garnish


Reserve the prosecco and shake the other ingredients with ice. Strain into a glass, garnish with prosecco and garnish with an orange zest

Watermelon Martini (£2.93 per serving)

Sweet watermelon flavors meet sharp lime and raspberry notes for a perfectly balanced taste that’s ideal for a springtime sip.


  • 100ml Infusionist Watermelon Lime Gin Liqueur
  • 130g fresh raspberries – save a few for garnish
  • Juice of 1 fresh lime
  • 2 lime wedges to garnish

Crush the raspberries and put all the ingredients in a shaker. Fill with ice, shake vigorously and strain into two glasses with raspberries to garnish.

Tropical Spritz (£1.85 per serving)

The perfect pairing for those who love a tropical and exotic cocktail, with smooth blends of mango and passion fruit flavors followed by tangy citrus touches.


  • Haysmith’s Mango Passion Fruit Gin 35ml
  • 100ml specially selected Prosecco Valdobbiadene
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 10ml sugar syrup


Shake the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain the liquid into a glass and garnish with prosecco. Garnish with a lemon twist

Raspberry Kiss Cosmo (£3.14 per serving)

This delicious drink is bursting with tart raspberry and cranberry flavors with hints of zesty lime.


  • 60ml Saint Gérmont Raspberry Vodka
  • 40ml cranberry juice
  • 130g fresh raspberries – save a few for garnish
  • Juice of 1 fresh lime
  • 2 lime wedges to garnish
  • 4 fresh basil leaves – keep a few aside for garnish
  • Ice cubes


Put the vodka, cranberry juice and raspberries in a shaker and shake vigorously with ice. Strain into two glasses and garnish with the remaining raspberries, lime slices and basil. For a longer drink, pour into tumblers, add a few ice cubes and top up with elderflower sparkling water.
