Puesto Mexican artisan kitchen and bar, known for its award-winning tacos, margaritas and guacamole, is excited to launch a new menu starting November 1, adding a number of new dishes and drinks to its offerings. The local brand continues to push the boundaries with Mexican flavors, creating a menu of food and drink-worthy food and drink that keeps customers coming back for more.

Two new tacos

Two new tacos will join the range of Puesto, the Tuna Taco, made with yellowfin, avocado puree, black chili oil and cucumber, as well as the Barbacoa lamb taco with shoulder base. Colorado lamb, Little Gem lettuce and fresh mint. To accompany tacos and for all your potato chip dipping needs, Puesto also presents a new guacamole. Dubbed the Fiesta Guacamole, the new dish features roasted peppers, tahini and chili oil, for a milder but spicier version of the classic guac.

Four new cocktails

To complement the new bites, Puesto is also adding four new cocktails to the menu crafted by Puesto’s Bar & Spirits Creative Director Beau du Bois (formerly The Restaurant at Meadowood). The new Margarita offers include the Strawberry Margarita with Volcán Blanco Tequila, Strawberries and Fresh Lime, and the Passion Fruit Margarita with El Tesoro Blanco Tequila, Passion Fruit, Ginger and Lime. The refreshed cocktail menu will also include a Bergamot Sour, made with Tequila El Tesoro Blanco, bergamot, lime and egg white, whose notes of Wood will be the strongest cocktail Puesto has ever had, and Puesto’s first premium margarita, That Good Good Cadillac, which is made with Siete Leguas Añejo tequila, Grand Marnier and fresh lime.

These new cocktails are part of a cocktail movement by du Bois and the Puesto team to create additive-only tequila-based cocktails, leaning on their obsession with quality ingredients and sourcing. The new menu items will be available in each of Puesto’s locations, including their original location in La Jolla, downtown at headquarters, and their new location in Mission Valley.

See you there, San Diego!
